Well recently Apple released its new iPods, new iTunes and iTV. Seems they are all pretty cool

The 2nd gen nanos come in 2gb, 4gb and 8gb sizes. And also in 5 different colours. Similarly looking to the iPod mini, but with similar dimensions to iPod nano 1gen. Also the prices are lowered. And they have a alpabetical search option now.

iPod shuffle 2gen now comes in 1gb, 3 times smaller than the first gen. And cheaper.

iPod video 5.1Gen has also been updated, better quality, 60% brighter screen(which isnt noticeble) and now with new and better games which you can get from iTunes.

iTunes 7 has also been release, with a new look, new icon, new options. A nice update from the old one.

iTV @ $299 is also out now, but with that price its not going to be too popular.

Teens who listen to sexual songs on iPods have sex earlier

Erm, this made me laugh

A study has shown that teens listening to song with sexual lyrics on their iPods everyday tend to have sex sooner. Doesna€™t matter the genre, as long as there is reference to sex, the influence seem to be strong.

The study was conducted via telephone interviews with 1,461 participants aged 12 to 17. The results have shown that only 29 percent of teens that listen to little or no sexually music started having sex within two years. Versus a staggering 51 percent of those that listened to heavy doses of such music.

a€?A lot of teens think thata€™s the way theya€™re supposed to be, they think thata€™s the cool thing to do. Because ita€™s so common, ita€™s accepted,a€? said Ramsey, a teen editor for Sexetc.org, a teen sexual health Web site produced at Rutgers University.

Gay iPod linux

Just tried to install iPodLinux on my 2gig nano so it could play videos and 3d games, but its being a pain in the arse. First the screen “bricked” on a list of commands, “command: podzilla” etc etc. Took me a while to get the key combinations right to “un-brick” it.

Then had to format it using another program, then restore it using apple software, now I’m putting all my songs and photos on it, so unless your a pro computer geek and have alot of free time on your hands, dont install iPodLinux.

Update: If you want to edit your iPod just a bit, uncapp the max memory, edit fonts, strings, images, then use iPodWizard. Just used it myself, a cool little program .

iPod’s dirty little secret

Stumbled accross this site when I found: www.idont.com . Its a video with a recording of someone phoning up apple and asking about how to fix a dead battery on an 18month ipod, the reply was to get a new one.

So in just under 2 years, when your iPod becomes dead dont bother phoning up Apple they wont do anything.

Nike+iPod

Well this was released a while ago and it does look quite cool. Nikeplus is basically a microchip in a nike shoe which transmits data to your ipod about your jogging; your speed, how much you’ve ran, how much left, average speed and more. As excpected this will probably be over priced as most iPod stuff are.
