Limewire counter-sues RIAA

September 29, 2006

As I posted in August, when LimeWire got sued by RIAA they have now reacted to this and counter-sued RIAA and MPAA. They are not letting them to simply roll-over their site, but they are sueing them for antitrust violations, consumer fraud and other misconduct. Unlike most other other websites and companies which have been sued by RIAA and MPAA, that have simply been scared by the RIAA, Limewire is striking back. Limewire does not produce or personally distribute illegal files, its the users that do. So in other words that means Microsoft can be sued aswell because people use Windows Media Player to watch illegal files?!

Go LimeWire!

More iPhone rumours?

September 28, 2006

Seems like Apple have released iTunes update 7.0.1 quietly. The new update was found to have some suspicious strings in its config files, such as; “4301.022″ = ” ^0 was not copied because the video format is not supported by the mobile phone ^1 .”

Which suggests rumours off a iPhone. The excpected launch of the iPhone is at the Macworld 2007 exhibition in january 2007.

Laptop battery recalls

September 28, 2006

It seems like every week a new company announces about a new battery recall. After some bomb threats where laptops have blown up, even airline companies have banned certain manufacturers laptops from being carried on the plane. Some of the biggest companies around have asked their batteries to be recalled; Apple, Dell, Panasonic, Toshiba and Lenovo, which announced today at a press conference. There must about 3/4 million laptops to be recalled. More companies to announce recalls I predict.
